Shaun Livingston dished out a career-best 13 assists. After watching another mishap at Chavez Ravine (which translates into English as "Clown Alley"), I arrived home to the tivo recording of tonight's Clippers-Suns game (yes, the FSN feed, not ESPN).  Tomorrow morning, I'll do a full entry on tonight's performance in Phoenix.  But before I turn in, I want to throw some love Shaun Livingston's way for coming of age as a big game NBA point guard tonight.

If you believe that the Clips' best days are still ahead, it necessitates that you also believe Shaun Livingston will be the primary point guard for the Clipper teams that achieve the most.

Against the most disorienting team in the league, Shaun was given a game-time starting assignment.  And here's how he responded in 36 minutes:

12 points (5-10 FG), 13 assists, 7 rebounds, 1 turnover.

This doesn't tell the defensive story, how Shaun didn't allow Raja Bell's two moonshots in the first 1:30 of the first quarter shake his confidence.

As a distributor, Shaun is learning where Elton likes the ball, precisely how high Chris likes to catch the entry pass and how to use his size to work the best matchup.

More tomorrow morning on the anatomy of the win.
