Couldn't even attempt to win the last game of the season on "FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT" ????!!!!!!!! Clippers once again show that they can't shake the ghost of failures past. I'm not proud to be a Clipper fan right now.

Last jab for the season: To make sure we all know he doesn't know how to coach in crunch time (if at all), MD draws up a play on their 2nd to last possession that goes totally no where. For good measure, he keeps Brand in the game on their final possession when they need a three and who takes the 3-point shot, late? EB, who has probably made 1 or 2 threes his entire career.

Lotto here we come, although the clips never do well with their picks (except the 2001 trade for Brand).

That's ok Elton Brand, just promise me you'll develope a 3 pt shot & work on passing out of the double team in the offseason and everything will be straight

In some ways however, that game was the perfect ending to our season. It embodied everything the would of, could of and did go wrong this season. Even the crowd was a bit eerie, and quiet throughout the game.

Brand.Kaman.Maggs.Q.Hart(or other clipper pg) - why wasn't this our everyday starting 5 for the year? Was MDsr THAT sold on the SA brings a Manu off the bench idea? Is Correy really that incapable of playing without the ball that he can't play with Sam? Did Cat really give us... anything?

The bright spot through: Seeing Shaun WALKING on to the half court and thanking the crowd. That was pretty awesome... barely 2 months and he was walking... NO CRUTCHES!

Amazing, and hopefully a sign of good things to come.

Even if Kaman never progresses another lick, he is already far better than Olowokandi. For your Olowokandi-envy needs, I suggest you check in with the purple and yellow next door. They have a certain indifferent prospect/project on their hands and just the personal coach to seal the deal.

Who would you have subbed in for EB? Hart, Thomas and Cassell were on the floor. Maggette is the next closest thing to the 3-pt threat and he was on the floor. Ewing? (Yes, we know how you "haters" feel about subbing in Ewing in a situation similar to that.) Ross? Kaman? Singleton? Conry? Davis? Korolev? That's the end of your active roster. So who would you have subbed out EB for? EB is 1.000 on actual 3PA this season. He was as reasonable a choice as anyone and his shot was closer than that garbage Maggette threw up against the Kings. If anything they should have pulled Maggette for Ross, but thats a margin play and I'm sure you wouldn't agree with that.

Its easy to second-guess when one doesn't even challenge onesself so far as to suggest a viable alternative.

Are we also talking about the second to last possession that ends up with Maggette driving to the hoop and for no reason other than personal choice losing it out of bounds? I would think Maggette fans would be happy about this. Your boy got the ball in crunch time and once again, that's the result. The scorer gave him "Corey Maggette misses layup", but that doesn't begin to do justice to the joke what was him trying to finish. If we can agree that having Maggette on the team still is the bad decision, I will agree that it was a bad play.

4:50 mark of the 4th. Q is on the ball-handler who starts to drive. Q quickly cuts it off but for some reason Corey doubles off his man. Ball rotates to Corey's original mark. Corey looks to Q, who rotates over and, with help from Kaman, picks up Corey's man and stops him too. Corey does...nothing. I don't think I have ever seen a player actually HURT the team defense concept so blatantly before. Its for plays like that why it is death to have Cassell and Maggette on the floor together. Cassell understands and tries but can only rarely keep up. Corey could easily keep up, but doesn't understand and rarely tries.

How is this team with this much talent not in the playoffs. Clips sucked even when we had cassel and livingston (barely struggling to get to .500). this season can't be blamed on injuries. it can be blamed, however, on Dunleavy not playing a 25 point a game offensive machine for over half the season, playing a center who is a huge defensive liability and doesn't know how to jump (on offense or defense), and not starting instead of that retarded center a smart all around player who by the way is 40% from three point range.

Didn't anyone notice who Dumbleavy had on the floor midway through the fourth quarter at the guard position? Conroy and Q. Ross. Now they may have their good points but in a game that would have salvaged a .500 season and possibly some respect from their fans as well as some self-respect he has a 4th string PG who has just joined the team and a two guard with no real range. Is this one of his new genius moves? Tell me one good move Dumbleavy has made this year. Pleeeease.

If you watch the last Clippers v. Lakers game, MDS out-coached Phil Jackson throughout the whole game. Also, I think his game plan in the most recent game against the Suns was perfect.

At least I think he's a good coach ... at least better than whatever's available now.

hey 1 Winning Season, we will enjoy watching PHX run the Kobette's out of the building again. Lakers lost that series 5-2 last year, and will be lucky to win one this year.

1 Winning Season Asshair, All that money on KB and Phil for the 7 spot and the privelage of getting throttled two years straight by the real MVP and some guys who look as mediocre as the lakers without him. Way to back into the playoffs and show us losers how a real TEAM does it.

I'm guessing that won't be enjoyment you are experiencing once the series starts, so ride the "We got in and the Clips didn't" high as long as you can.

there were some fights at the game, none of which involved me even though i took the liberty of taunting and needling everyone in sight. darrell was there in the PR section above where he usually sits. the clipper nation was well-represented, surprisingly. of course once the lakers lost the classic comeback of their fans was to point at the championship banners. kareem isn't walking through that door, magic isn't walking through that door, shaq walks through that door for another team w/ an extra ring. so kindly stfu, laker douchebags.
