Why would we need Cassell if we had AI? Add in Corey who likely is gone anyways :( and then trowh in Z to make the numbers work (despite being injured he would be attractive for the 76ers coz his contract is up next year). 76ers would get two scores including a solid guard and a little cap space for next year.

I'm certain that they want Livy included in any deal. Everyone who I've heard speak on the subject who is NOT a Clips fan thinks they should make the trade and include Livey, but am against it. no Brand and no Livy. Anyone else is fair game as far as I'm concerned, even Kaman, though I know that he's untouchable as well.

The Sixers won't make the deal without Livy but they may change their tune if this drags out too long. They have no bargaining power other than the many teams offering them packages.

I hope AI does NOT come to the Clips. He is a selfish player who will not blend in and become part of a team.

It's obvious the Clippers haven't wavered on Livingston yet, or the deal would be done. Philly would have traded AI for Corey and Shaun this summer. So who is going to blink? Philly's situation gets weaker with each passing day. Of course, a few more pathetic losses, and the Clippers may blink. But Maggette, Cassell, Z (plus a pick and maybe the rights to MBFGC) ... that's the deal on the table.

corey, cutino, and shaun for a.i. korver, and a future 1st round draft pick. I beleive shaun will be a GOOD point guard, but not great. I don't think shaun is going to be the x-factor for a championship. A.I can score a lot, drop dimes, and get steals. He's such a threat to opposing defenses that he would draw double teams away from EB. Shaun doesn't free up Elton like A.I. would. I like Shaun, but the Clippers need to make a move because they stayed the same while other teams in the NBA made changes and got better. Clippers won't be real championship contenders if they stay the way they are. I feel Iverson will bring more to the table than Shaun will.

Kyle Korver is a Lakewood native, so he'll feel at home in l.a. Plus with his 3pt shooting to take over what Cutino was supposed to do every night, he'll open up the floor for Elton posting and A.I. pentrating the lane to dish, lay up, or hit a mid-range jumper. And once Sam's contract is up, that will free cap space to sign a new PG if Daniel Ewing isn't around.

We all like Shaun and root for him, but I won't make Iverson out to be a scapegoat. He wants to win so badly, that I believe his over publicized and sometimes over exaggerated antics won't effect the team. Bottom line, A.I. is a Hall of Famer no matter what the Iverson haters say. And better yet, he STILL plays like a Hall of Famer should play. Shaun will be good, A.I. is already great.

The Clippers are the same team as last year, it's just that other teams have figured out how to beat them, easily. Sadly, our coach for the future sucks and can't make the right changes to improve the team (bad timing for a contract extension). If Elgin Baylor has balls or really runs this team (which, he probably doesn't), then he would make the change necessary to bring in Iverson. Mobley was supposed to help with our oustide shootin...BUST! Tim Thomas was supposed to help with our outside shooting...BUST! AI is a guaranteed help outside and inside. Teams know to double Brand and Kaman because we have no outside shooting. With AI, they can't double the inside. Shaun may be good, but he got worked last night by Deron Williams, so why are we wasting a couple seasons on somebody who may be good when Iverson already is great! The guy wants to win, look at him during the Olympics. It is the no-brainer trade of the Clippers lifetime that I'm only hoping they are waiting for tomorrow's trade deadline thingy to make this deal work.

If AI can play steady for atleast 5 more seasons, we can send Livingston to Philly. They need him real bad. Looks like they know something more about Liv which we don't know.
