I didn't watch the game but the stat sheet has low turnovers, we lost the rebounding and we had a higher shooting pct.

I know there is help on the horizon... and next year has a chance at being exciting...

but it's really hard to get excited over going to see this team play. They never excite me the way the kids did 5 years ago...

That TERRIBLE defense on Peja is what turned the tide. We were a point down, all of a sudden he hits, Maggs nowhere near him. We're down 4. Next couple trips down the floor, oh, I lost the ball driving to the hoop again, oh wait, where's my guy? There he is, hitting another 3... then another... that was all she wrote after that. We could never recover. Maggette has got to go. Or at least sit the pine. I don't care if he does get his garbage 15-20 points per game. Let Thornton and Powell get out there. At least Powell was working hard, aside from losing his shoe.

ACD, what's there to be excited for next year ??

We have yet to see EB or Shaun play. Both injuries were substantial enough that their games could be a shell of what they once were. The bottom line is their abilities are still a huge unknown at this point. With Shaun, that's a frightening thought as he didn't have much of a balanced game to begin with. Quickness was a huge part of his rather flawed game before he went down, what's he gonna do now, become a jump shooter ??

Then the flip side is they both come strong as ever, and find themselves in their walk year's at their option.

If EB regains 'being EB' the last month or two of this season, sure he'd have to opt out of a max deal..but he'd be a fool to not take the Lakers $$ over the Clippers as long as it was close. The Lakers have a grip of cap space and a gaping hole at the 4. If he did switch locker rooms, I'd have to applaud him for choosing to try to win over running in mud with the Clips for another 4 years.

Then you have MD and management making decisions yet again next off-season. Our only hope is DTS reralizes that he's gotta get new blood into the orginization at the management and coaching levels. That would be cause for some excitement, ACD.

EB would get more money with the clippers. He'd go to the Lakers to try to win. Hopefully he won't play much this year so he won't have as much value as a free agent.

Only thing to hope for is next year.

Just like everybody else I'm discourage with the team out there and I'm debating renewing my seats but the little time that Thornton is out ther he is showing me he belongs. Dude was trying to guard West and he was not doing a bad job.

after the win over wolves. I mean if u are going to run your mouth try to show up in game time. I mean he missed everything he shot, I think besides the fist quarter bankshot he had, all the other points from free throws.

Well I hate to admitt this but the only option as fan of the Clippers is to wait to see who we pick up in the draft.

I hope no one apologizes for this team or this shitty coach. With two supposedly healthy "good" players (Maggette and Kaman) and a bunch of veteran players (Knight, Thomas, Mobley, Ross) and a talented rookie we suck this bad? Look at what the Blazers are doing with unproven talent. Think what this team could do with a coach like McMillan. We are barely better than the fu**ing T-wolves. This team sucks and it's time to get rid of the crap and start over with Brand, Thornton, MAYBE Kaman and NEW COACH.

What's all this talk about Brand joining the Lakers? Aren't the Lakers still F'd up w/ the cap, only Kwame is leaving?

I doubt Brand is going anywhere, but if he does leave...how much are we under the cap?

QD, just looking at the fact that the Brian Grant contract comes off the books this Summer for the Lakers ($16-17M or so) and Kwame (8M or so) and Mihm (4-5M or so). That's a whole lotta cap space, and a huge hole at PF, that's all. Simple deductive reasoning that EB (if healthy from the achilles injury) would be in a position, along with the Lakers potentially, to work something out this Summer.

Of course, there's alot that'll happen between now and then dude, so we shall see.

The other factor am basing this on is MD and Clips management still appear to have their head's so far up their rear's that EB would probably be looking to bring his game to a more attractive situation in terms of playing for a contender. I would if I were him, and would not fault him should he dicide to make such a decision given the situation.

After all, you can only spend so much $$ and winning championships is typically the ultimate goal, along with the $$ of course.
