you can't start ross when cassel isn't playing. ever. we learned that in the first 20 games of this year. he deabilitates the offense and is overrated on defense.

Ross should be on the floor only when it's warranted. When offense is on the brink, you don't worry about defense.

Playing Ross & Mobley together is nohing but a recipe for disaster. When we look at the effectiveness, Mobley & Ross combined deserve approximately 20 minutes a game. That's only if we are in commanding position. When we are struggling they belong on the bench.

It's time to face facts. This team stinks. I don't know why but it is. Is it the players, the attitude, the coach? I don't know. This is worse than the old days. At least then we didn't expect anything except to see some of the great NBA players come to the Sports Arena and put on a show. Now we go in to a season with expectations and look what we get. A lousy underperforming overpaid team that disappoints almost every night. This turned in to a nightmare. I'm really beginning to believe Donald Sterling had it right before he gave away all that money. This team is reallly beginning to suck.

Arnie, wait a minute. This Clipper team is far more superior to date. Here's why: #1 . Every team who play this team(Spurs or Hawks) take this team very seriously. They all know they have to play their best game to beat Clips. Infact, that competitive spirit was lacking seasons before. #2. Fans like us, expect this team to win because we know they CAN. #3. Steven, watching Clips play Hawks wasn't inspiring but I did watch the game. Yesterday Clips played little too hard and didn't save any gas for this game. And trade talks are making this team unstable.

Are you kidding me??? This game tonight is a very serious step backwards. It seemed like things were beginning to turn around in the last six games or so, but this game tonight is a huge regression. With Elton Brand's return to stellar play, there is only one main reason for a loss like tonight: effort. It explains all of the turnovers, and it also explains why a team consisting of essentially the same players can make a huge step backward from one season to the next. The Clips will be tough and fight back into games, but they are not mentally tough enough to fend off consistent pressure from a good team and are not mentally tough enough to put away a bad team. This team is clearly not good enough to take anyone for granted, and it showed tonight. I hope these guys are finally embarassed now, because I sure am.

This team simple could not shoot the basketball, plain and simple. When the other team scores 86 points and you lose by 12, you don't have to see the game(I watched it up until a couple of minutes into the 4th quarter.) Brick after brick. From long distance and right under the basket, it didn't matter where from. They could start by hiring the shooting coach that worked with among others Matt Barnes(remember him?)

Dave you're delusional.
1. Every team that plays the Spurs, Mavs and Suns take them seriously and those elite teams still win.
2. They all know they have to play their best game to beat the elite teams and those teams still win regardless of the effort of their opponents.
3. Win or lose (and it has been more lose) this team has been blown out too many times and if you look at it's opponents shooting percentage it's horrendous. I think the real reason is heart and coaching. Many of these players are not putting out and that responsibility lies at the feet of the coach. As Steven said above you must have missed the game last night.

So far they're 1 and 3 on a road trip where the only team they beat is one without their superstars and that only could suit up 10 players. What happens when they start playing the good teams again?

It's not a Brand/Maggette problem. Maggette doesn't play defense anyway and this a defensive problem. Look at the defensive stats from last year to this year. It's a chemistry problem. They are not working hard at the defensive end and defense is just good old hard work. MD is a defensive coach and if that is failing he is sunk. His offense is adequate but can't keep up with his porous defense. I hate to say it but big changes are necessary. How did Phil Jackson take a ragtag bunch like Kwame, Smush, Sasha, a rookie center and a rookie point guard and become a contender. I was never a Jackson fan but he is making MD look like an amateur. An amateur who is making $5,000,000 a year. I'm sick.
